Miller |
David J. Miller received the B.S.E. degree from Princeton University in 1987, the M.S.E. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990, and the Ph. D. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1995, all in electrical engineering. From January 1988 through January 1990, he was with General Atronics Corporation in Wyndmoor, Pa.
Since August 1995, Dr. Miller has been with the Electrical Engineering Department at the Pennsylvania State University, where he is currently an associate professor.
Dr. Miller's research interests include source coding and coding over noisy channels, image compression, statistical pattern recognition, and neural networks. Dr. Miller received the National Science Foundation Career Award in 1996 for the continuation of his research on statistical pattern recognition and learning algorithms for neural networks.
